Airmen Pin 11-4 Loss on Generals
|
It was a good time at Alameda Field, where fans came to watch the Washington Generals and Alameda Airmen get after it.
With designated hitter Charles Weber leading the charge, the Alameda Airmen defeated the Washington Generals, 11-4, at Alameda Field. Weber went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Alameda is 21-23 and Washington, with the loss, 28-16.
Also doing his part was first baseman Gérard Chesnutt, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth for Alameda. For the game, Chesnutt went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Chesnutt.
