The Grim Reapers and Syracuse Storm provided some drama at Storm Park.
Syracuse beat Grim at Storm Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Rich McLean, who earned player of the game honors. Syracuse reliever Ryan Dull picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Carol van Emden was saddled with the loss.
Hamilton Porter was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Syracuse pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," McLean said.
After today's action, Syracuse sits at 18-25, while Grim falls to 26-17.
