In a tight game between the Syracuse Storm and the Kennesaw Jets, pitcher Shi-xian Kuai was terrific on the mound. The Syracuse left-hander was named the player of the game in Syracuse's 1-0 win. The winning pitcher was Kuai, now 3-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. The Storm now have a record of 16-24.
Syracuse left fielder Juan Jimínez helped the Storm go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Jimínez hit a run-scoring triple off Kennesaw pitcher Vincent O'Higgin.
"We put together a nice win," Jimínez said.
