The D.C. Divided dealt the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC a 11-2 loss at Washington Stadium. Tony Romero was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Domingo Posadas got credit for the save for D.C.. It was his 1st of the year. D.C., now 5-2, has played well in the early going.
In the bottom of the third inning, first baseman Neil Lawson came through big-time for the Divided. With D.C. leading 2-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
In postgame remarks, Lawson said: "We put it together today and came out with the win -- that's the main thing."
