Storm Take Tight Tilt

Waterfall Park was the site of a tense game between the Niagara Falls Expos and Syracuse Storm.
Javier Contreras pitched well, but the Niagara Falls Expos still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Syracuse Storm at Waterfall Park. Kenete Daku got credit for the save for Syracuse. It was his 6th of the year.
The Storm got a big at-bat from Jerry Yates. For the game, Yates was 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Syracuse a 3-2 lead.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Syracuse Storm manager Chad Hess. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Syracuse, at 11-21, sits in last place in the Silver A.
