Losing Streak Continues for Bruins with 5-2 Loss
|
Washington rode a fine outing from starter Iván Vázquez to victory over the Bellevue Bruins at Bellevue Field. The final score was 5-2. Vázquez, now 5-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. This loss makes it 9 in a row for Bellevue.
With runs few and far between, the Generals had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Washington came in the top of the second.
