Kennesaw Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Walla Walla Walleye starter Luis Bustamante was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Kennesaw Jets, 3-0. The winning pitcher was Bustamante, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Quan Shiu closed it out for his 4th save.
The Walleye got a big at-bat from Armaan Ebrahim. For the game, Ebrahim went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 16th hit of the season gave Walla Walla a 1-0 lead.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Walla Walla manager Arturo Chávez.
The Kennesaw Jets, now 6-13, continue their poor start.
