Generals Bang Out 8-0 Win Versus Alameda
The Washington Generals eeked out a 8-0 win versus the Alameda Airmen at Washington Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Marco Sledge, who captured player of the game honors. The Airmen fall to 6-13 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the third inning when the Generals sent teenager Chad Silander to the plate against Airmen hurler Patrick Buzard. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a triple off a 1-1 fastball to score 2.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis.
