Chukars Stay Hot with 3-1 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Bellevue Bruins, pitcher Vicente Romero was fantastic. The Idaho Falls left-hander was named the player of the game in Idaho Falls's 3-1 win. Romero was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 1 walk. Aliaume Thiame earned the save for Idaho Falls, his 1st of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Idaho Falls, had it not been for Juan Rosado, the speedster . Rosado contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Idaho Falls up, 3-1.
"The vibe's good," said Idaho Falls manager Dan Anderson. "We've got to keep it going."
The Idaho Falls Chukars, now 13-5, have hit the ground running this season.
