Expos Fall Short at Washington
Tullu Amaad had a good game, but he could not keep the Niagara Falls Expos from falling, 4-3, to the Washington Generals at Washington Park. The Niagara Falls catcher went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 in the loss. The win takes Washington to 9-8.

Manny Cardoza was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Washington pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Cardoza told a Washington News reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
