Chukars Win Again, Extend Streak to 8
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars downed the Bellevue Bruins, 10-2, at Bellevue Field. The Chukars were led by León Preciado, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Albert Sierra, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 5 innings. Juan Rúbio earned the save, his 1st.
Preciado had a key at-bat for Idaho Falls early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and gave Idaho Falls an early 2-0 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Preciado.
The Idaho Falls Chukars, now 12-5, have been on fire in the early going.
