Grim Wins 4-1 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
The Reapers had to overcome a fine effort from Hammond pitcher Tony Alfonso to grab a 4-1 win at The Heron Refuge. Alfonso went 7 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Steve Seabolt closed it out for his 2nd save. The Grim Reapers, now 14-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
Bayanai Gonzalez drove in one run against the Herons. In the top of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Grim in front, 1-0.
"We've got a great group of guys," Gonzalez said, "and we're having fun right now."
