The Bruins had to overcome a fine performance from Grim pitcher Pedro Adame to grab a 4-3 win at The Coffin. Adame went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Chet Saks earned the win to go to 2-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Losses have been few and far between for the Reapers, who are now 12-3.

In the top of the 8th, pinch hitter Ernesto Trevino gave Bellevue the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bruins had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Grim pitcher Ricardo Ruíz changed that -- and Bellevue went on to win.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Grim skipper Dale Wolfe, "and it cost us."
