Expos Pin 5-3 Loss on Walleye

The Niagara Falls Expos topped the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-3, in USSL Single A action at Walleye Tank. The player of the game was Niagara Falls pitcher and Saint-Jérôme, Canada native Selim Ferré. With the win, Niagara Falls improves its record to 3-2.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Expos sent teenager Francisco Valentín to the plate against Walleye hurler Fernando Barraza. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a home run off a 1-2 cutter to score 3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Valentín after the game.
