Bruins Win at Niagara Falls, 9-4
|
The Bellevue Bruins did just enough to sneak past the Niagara Falls Expos, 9-4, at Waterfall Park. Bellevue pitcher Chet Saks earned player of the game honors. The Bellevue Bruins, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Also contributing to the win was shortstop Richard Cutshall, who stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth for Bellevue. For the game, Cutshall went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Saks.
