Jets Fall Short, 6-4, at Syracuse
|
Getting a good performance from catcher Jerry Yates, the Syracuse Storm defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 6-4. Yates went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Storm. The winner was Jorge Carranza, who threw 109 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. Kenete Daku earned the save, his 2nd, for the Storm.
