Walleye Get 4-3 Win Versus Hammond
|
The Walla Walla Walleye began the 2028 season with a convincing 4-3 win over the Hammond Herons at Walleye Tank. Most impressive was Walla Walla shortstop Dhyana Snigdha, who was 2-3 with a double and a walk.
Walla Walla grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bennett Whitford delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Walleye.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Hammond manager Davis Burt. "But we decided not to take it."
