The Richardson City Thundercats did just enough to secure a 10-4 victory over the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Alec Pittman, who captured player of the game honors. In 8 innings, Pittman surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Richardson City has a record of 50-58. Boston falls to 61-47.

Anselmo Berneu had a big run-scoring single for the Thundercats in the top of the third inning. With Richardson City trailing 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Jorge Aguirre and stroked the single to right-center. It was his 86th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thundercats ahead, 2-1.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Berneu, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
