Bulls Suffer 11-3 Setback
|
Delaware 1787 BC starter Goodluck Obasanjo was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Belleville Bulls, 11-3. Doppo Omikado earned the save for Delaware, his 1st of the year. At 29-27, Delaware is in 6th place in the Menard's A.
In the top of the 2nd, Delaware took the lead on a 2-run double by Elwiin Hund. At the time, the 1787 BC were trailing 2-1, but Hund's hit with two outs against Belleville pitcher Ed Maresh put them in front, 3-2.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Hund told the Delaware Citizen. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
