The Richardson City Thundercats and Austin Rangers provided some drama at The Thunder Dome.

Austin turned a good effort from starter Shawn Williams into a win over the Richardson City Thundercats at The Thunder Dome. The final score was 4-0. Williams, now 6-10, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Júlio Rodríguez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 26 save opportunities.

Yoshihito Samurakami helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 3-run home run to give Austin a 3-0 lead.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Williams told the Austin Herald.

With the victory, the Rangers record now stands at 47-56.
