Late Rally by Dragoons Secures Win
|
The Louisiana Dragoons picked up a win at The Big Teepee, knocking off the Connetquot Chiefs, 6-3. Starting pitcher Won-u Yi was an essential part of his team's success. Yi, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. The 4th-place Dragoons improved to 13-9.
Louisiana took control in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Mike Houston hit a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Dragoons.
In postgame remarks, Houston said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
