The Hot N Readys had to overcome a good performance from Chesapeake pitcher Pang Qin to claim a 3-2 win at The Pizza Oven. Qin went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Gabriel Escobar recorded his 2nd save for Little Caesars. Little Caesars is 9th in the Premier AA with a record of 34-56.
Little Caesars took a 3-2 lead on Mike Taylor's 68th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Taylor hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chesapeake pitcher Eddie Schmitt visibly frustrated.
Said Little Caesars manager Bill Russell: "I tell our guys all the time: 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction.'"
