Continentals Raise Rally Flag, Beat San Antonio, 3-2
|
Chesapeake Continentals starter Pedro Silva turned in an exceptional performance against the San Antonio BC at San Antonio Field, resulting in a Chesapeake win, 3-2. Eddie Schmitt got credit for the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.2 innings. Chesapeake, at 41-43, sits in 6th place in the Premier AA.
Chesapeake grabbed a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth when John Krog hit a run-scoring double. For the day, Krog was 1 for 4 with a double.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Chesapeake manager José Flores.
