Armstrong, Patriots Beat Hotspur, 6-4
|
The Boston Patriots and Phoenix Hotspur obliged those fans who came to Chase Field looking for a good time.
The Boston Patriots relied on the hitting of first baseman Terry Armstrong to stop the Phoenix Hotspur, 6-4. For the game, Armstrong went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Folkert van Huizen earned his 11th save in 13 tries.
Armstrong came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With the score 3-1 in the top of the ninth and one down, Armstrong hit a 0-2 forkball for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Patriots managed to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Armstrong.
The Patriots go to 58-42, putting them first in the Premier League.
