The San Antonio BC did just enough to sneak past the Athletic Club KC Academy, 2-1, at San Antonio Field. San Antonio pitcher Miguel Jiménez earned player of the game honors. Felipe Vega was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 21 save opportunities. The BC raised their record to 27-50.
San Antonio took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Noël Sassetti stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, BC.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said San Antonio BC manager Soseki Matsunaga. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
