Guerrero Helps Eclipse Run Win Streak to 4
|
Northville beat San Antonio, 14-5. The win in part was due to third baseman Luis Guerrero, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7. Cisco Andr earned the save, his 1st, for the Eclipse. The 5th-place Eclipse now have a 4-game winning streak.
With Northville leading 11-5 in the bottom of the eighth, Guerrero came up to bat against San Antonio pitcher Pepe Delgado. Guerrero hit a fastball to right-center for a bases-clearing double. His 10th double of the season put the Eclipse on top, 14-5.
"Feels good to get the job done," Guerrero said after the game.
