Thundercats Go Down to Defeat, 5-4
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Anselmo Berneu, the Richardson City Thundercats suffered a 5-4 loss to the Phoenix Hotspur. Berneu was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Hotspur move to 56-43 with the win, while the Thundercats drop to 44-55.

Roland Deschain, who is tied for 5th in the PL in triples with 5, aided the Phoenix cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Deschain told the Phoenix Citizen.
