Hiro Kurasawa pitched a gem to lead Mercer Island to a 2-0 victory over the San Antonio BC. Lucas Cobb earned the save for Mercer Island, his 2nd of the year. The slumping BC have lost 10 straight.

Tied up with the BC in the bottom of the fifth, the Screaming Eagles got a boost from shortstop Silas Floyd. With a runner on 2nd, Floyd saw a 2-1 knuckle curve from Miguel Jiménez and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Mercer Island on top, 1-0.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said San Antonio manager Soseki Matsunaga.
