Victory Over Continentals Takes Lannister United to 33-22
|
Lannister United turned a good effort from starter Gustavo Tobías into a win over the Chesapeake Continentals at Chesapeake Grounds. The final score was 8-1. Tobías got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 8.2 innings. Tobías allowed 1 earned run. Lannister United is 33-22 and Chesapeake, with the loss, 25-30.
In the top of the fifth inning, designated hitter John O'Day came through big-time for the Lionhearts. With Lannister United leading 2-1, he belted a grand slam home run.
