The Asheville Highlanders downed the Lannister United Lionhearts, 8-3, at Lionheart Field. The Highlanders were led by Ron Spence, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Asheville is in 9th place in the Premier AA with a record of 21-32.
Early in the game, Spence had a run-scoring double for Asheville. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 4-3.
