Continentals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hot N Readys
Little Caesars got a terrific performance from right fielder Pedro García, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chesapeake Continentals. Chesapeake won the Chesapeake Grounds contest, 9-7. García was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win was credited to Howard Vidaurri in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Darrin Najera took the loss. The Little Caesars losing streak has now reached 9 games.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Martín Alejadre, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA with a .542 slugging percentage, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Continentals went on to win.

"We came out aggressive," said Chesapeake Continentals manager José Flores. "We came out swinging the bats."
