Youth Pin 5-3 Loss on Hot N Readys

The Phoenix Hotspur Youth picked up a win at The Pizza Oven, knocking off the Little Caesars Hot N Readys, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ismael Lara was an essential part of his team's success. In 8 innings, Lara surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The Youth move to 21-19 with the win, while the Hot N Readys drop to 16-24.
Phillip Mendizabal drove in one run for Phoenix Hotspur. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. That's when he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Maru Pao Pao. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Lara, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
