Late Magic Gets San Antonio 4-2 Win
|
The San Antonio BC picked up a win at Lionheart Field, knocking off the Lannister United Lionhearts, 4-2. On the mound for San Antonio was left-hander Roosevelt Tuttle, who played a pivotal role in the win. Tuttle got the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Tuttle allowed 2 earned runs. At 19-20, the BC are currently 7th in the Premier AA.
In the top of the 8th, pinch hitter Abraham Phelps gave San Antonio the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The BC had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out double off Lannister United pitcher Justin Connolly changed that -- and San Antonio went on to win.
In postgame comments to the San Antonio News, Phelps said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
