Vespucci Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Northville in Walk-Off Win
|
The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at Old-Timers Park, knocking off the Chesapeake Continentals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Javier Luna was an essential part of his team's success. Northville reliever Kyle MacRae was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Anthony Ledesma took the loss for Chesapeake. The 8th-place Eclipse now have a win-loss record of 17-20.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Northville trailing 3-2, Ghislain Vespucci hit a curveball from Anthony Ledesma to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Eclipse had a walk-off win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Luna.
