Hot N Readys Stun Highlanders, 5-4
|
With third baseman Shiki Sanu leading the charge, the Little Caesars Hot N Readys defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 5-4, at The Pizza Oven. Sanu, who is rated as the 33rd best prospect by BNN, went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The win was credited to Tristan Young in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bobby Irvine took the loss. With the victory, the Hot N Readys record now stands at 14-23.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Sanu. Facing Bobby Irvine with the bases loaded, the Little Caesars third baseman had a run-scoring single. Game over, walk-off style!
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Asheville manager Richard Weaver said following the tough loss.
