The Little Caesars Hot N Readys picked up a win at Ricochets Ballpark, knocking off the Salem Misfits, 5-3. On the mound for Little Caesars was left-hander Kent Scalici, who played a pivotal role in the win. Scalici picked up the win for Little Caesars, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The Hot N Readys improve their record to 10-18 with the win over Salem.
Lance Antle, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in stolen bases with 11, aided the Little Caesars cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Salem manager Bill Clark. "But we decided not to take it."
