Continentals Jolt Misfits with Late Rally
|
Chesapeake beat Salem at Chesapeake Grounds, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Eustacio Tafalla, who earned player of the game honors. Anthony Ledesma picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Bradley Roth was tagged with the loss. The Misfits fall to 8-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2028 season.
Juan Chávez was the walk-off hero for Chesapeake. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Chesapeake first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Tafalla said.
