In a well-pitched game between the Asheville Highlanders and the Chesapeake Continentals, pitcher Ipe Talboom was fantastic. The Asheville right-hander was named the player of the game in Asheville's 1-0 win. The Continentals fall to 7-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2028.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Enrique Rocha came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Chesapeake pitcher Anthony Ledesma, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Asheville on top, 1-0.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Rocha said.
