Asheville third baseman Esteban Olivo was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Chesapeake Continentals. Olivo went 4-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Highlanders. The Continentals fall to 7-9 and continue their uneasy start to the 2028 season.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Olivo. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Highlanders were trailing 4-3, Olivo delivered a two-out 2-run single for Asheville, giving his team the lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Olivo told the Asheville Times.
