Lionhearts Take Tight Tilt
|
Gustavo Tobías never let the Salem Misfits find their groove. Throughout the game, Tobías, who is rated as the 93rd best prospect by BNN, relied on his bread and butter, his forkball, in pitching the Lionhearts to a win. Tobías was the winning pitcher and moves to 1-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Tadeo Pico recorded his 2nd save for Lannister United.
Lannister United took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Corey Neace stroked a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Lionhearts.
"This was a good win," said Neace.
The loss lowers the record for Salem to 4-7.
