Highlanders Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hot N Readys
|
The Asheville Highlanders defeated the Little Caesars Hot N Readys, 4-2, in USPL Double A action at Asheville Park, with Asheville pitcher Tom Hernández named player of the game. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Bobby Irvine. The win gives the Highlanders a record of 3-3.
Paco Muñóz broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the eighth with a run-scoring walk. It put the Highlanders in front, 2-1. For the game, Muñóz drew 1 walk.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hernández.
