Continentals Win Thriller, 7-6
The Chesapeake Continentals beat the Little Caesars Hot N Readys, 7-6, at Chesapeake Grounds. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Ty Tomblin, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chesapeake reliever Anthony Ledesma picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Filip Radyuhin took the loss. Chesapeake has a mark of 1-1 after the win.

The Continentals were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Marcus Larson turned a 1-0 fastball from Filip Radyuhin into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Chesapeake Grounds denizens and sent the Continentals home with a thrilling 7-6 win.
