The Gryfindor Braves topped the Houston BC, 4-3, in USPL Triple A action at Cayuse Ballpark. The player of the game was Gryfindor pitcher and Tampa, Florida native José Flores. Biff Tannen closed it out for his 34th save. Gryfindor improves to 58-44 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Baní, Dominican Republic-born Rafael Durango came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Braves trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Gryfindor on top.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Houston skipper Javier González, "and it cost us."
