The BC had to overcome a good performance from Gryfindor pitcher Fred Gunther to claim a 5-4 win at Cayuse Ballpark. Gunther went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Houston bumps their record to 50-50 with the win.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Habbo Allaart came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Gryfindor pitcher Seung-hyeon So, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Houston on top, 5-4.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Houston manager Javier González.
