Targaryens Fall to Morales, Rocks
|
The Plymouth Rocks grabbed a 11-4 win over the Royse City Targaryens at Plymouth Quarry. Plymouth center fielder Pedro Morales was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 to earn player of the game honors. Rio Bavin was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 5 walks and 8 strikeouts. The second-place Rocks lifted their record to 54-45.
Clarence Fox contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped send Plymouth to the win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Fox.
