Nobles Fall to .500 After Loss to Great Lakers
|
Bob Barlow made an impact in the 6-3 Pure Michigan win over Bakersfield. Barlow went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Martín Flores picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 5-0. Esteban Ruíz picked up the save for Pure Michigan, his 7th of the year.
Barlow had a key at-bat for Pure Michigan early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Pure Michigan an early 3-0 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Barlow, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
Pure Michigan now sits at 50-42, while Bakersfield falls to 46-46.
