|
Milton Dogfish Head starter Juan Lara was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Jersey City Tritons, 5-2. Lara went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-5. José Luján closed the game out for Milton, earning his 5th save.
Bryce Bancroft helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to give Milton a 1-0 lead.
In comments to the Milton Chronicle, Lara admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
The Dogfish Head, at 40-46, sit in 9th place in the Premier AAA.
