Tritons Go Down to Defeat, 10-6

It was a good time at Plymouth Quarry, where fans came to watch the Jersey City Tritons and Plymouth Rocks get after it.
Carlos Álvarez left his imprint on the 10-6 Plymouth win against the Jersey City Tritons. Álvarez, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in home runs with 11, was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Ken Shelton in relief. His record improves to 1-1. António Rúbio took the loss.
Álvarez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Plymouth get the win.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Álvarez, "but we got it done."
With the win over Jersey City, the Rocks improved to 46-38.
