Rocks Keep Streak Alive with 1-0 win
|
Plymouth pitcher Rust Cohle did his part in helping his team beat the Milton Dogfish Head, 1-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Cohle went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-3. Jim Meyer earned the save, his 1st, for the Rocks.
The Rocks beat the Dogfish Head in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Roku Hara produced in the bottom of the third. Batting against Milton pitcher Juan Reyes, he gave his team a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Cohle said.
The second-place Dogfish Head have dropped 4 straight games.
