Piranhas Get Past Wizarding for 4-3 Win
|
The Panama City Piranhas picked up a win at The Tank, knocking off the Wizarding Express, 4-3. Starting pitcher John Dempsey, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Anderson O'Mara earned his 23rd save in 27 chances. Panama City goes to 53-36. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Panama City took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Tsing Guao hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Piranhas fans to their feet.
Guao said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "Pretty good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
